My name is Alex, I founded Tasmania Gourmet Food Tours and am the sole host of the experience. I started the tour business after 20 years of working in the Travel and Food Industries. I am a born and bred Tasmanian who has a vast knowledge of everything about our beautiful island. I specialise in Tasmanian seafood accompanied by local and seasonal produce.

Alex provides a truly worthwhile foodie tour, which was enhanced from his experience and his knowledge of his homeland area. You’ll take turns and see areas you wouldn’t normally consider stopping and visiting when driving yourself. Alex’s thoughtful timing means you also experience each spot before the crowds arrive, which they very much do. This is why I would really recommend this experience. It made such a difference to the day. The wine was fantastic, the food just as good, but the views will leave you speechless. Every step of the way will make you want the day to go on forever.

A day for spectacular landscape and long beautiful beaches view, one of the best coastal drives of my travelling experience. Started with fresh scone and tea for breakfast with breathtaking view across Great Oyster Bay. Visited a boutique vineyards to get relaxed with wine tasting before stopping for freshest seafood platter lunch. Continued with another wine tasting, gin vodka pair with cheeses! Oh my!! Alex is superb host with amazing east coast knowledge, giving flexible time enjoying beautiful beaches and great photographer too!
