Have you always wanted to visit the world-famous Penguin Parade?
We @hikeandseektours invite you to hike beautiful coastlines and meet native animals with a friendly local guide.
It’s time to hit the road with a small group (max 8 guests). Our first stop is a surfer’s dream beach, Cape Woolamai. From here we will lace up the boots and start our hike that will guide you through rugged rock formations, known as the Pinnacles. As we make our way around the Nature Park you can witness stunning views over the Bass Strait and pounding surf below. Look out for wallabies, echidnas, and whales in the winter months.
After our easy/moderate 6.8km hike we will head into Cowes for a delicious lunch or snack at a local café before we make our way to the Phillip Island Koala Reserve. Stroll through this eucalypt woodland and come ‘face-to-face’ with koalas in their natural habitat. The Koala Reserve’s unique treetop boardwalks and close viewing areas allow visitors to see how truly amazing koalas are.
Our next stop is The Nobbies for an easy stroll along the boardwalk to discover breathtaking coastline views and the impressive thundering blowhole. This area is home to Australia’s largest seal colony.
And to finish the day we will take a waddle on the wild side and see hundreds (sometimes thousands) of penguins emerge from the surf at sunset at the world-famous Penguin Parade.
Other things to note
Grade 2 Hiking: No bush walking experience required. The track is a hardened or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and occasional steps.

We didnt get to see James but Guy was the one who brought us along on the tour. Very cool guy and he shared alot of personal and engaging stories during the drive to and from Philip Island. Guy was very insightful about the things that he shared. We’re a group of 7 pax and its our first time in Australia so we took quite a bit of time at certain hotspots just to take photos and what not and Guy was very very patient about it eventhough we were behind schedule. We had so much fun during the trip and we got to see so much. Philip Island was so beautiful and we even got to feed Kangaroos afterwards. Overall a great tour with a greater tour guide. Thanks Guy for the experience! Definitely worth the time and money :)

It was a nice tour and I think much better than a "normal tourist tour". I liked the small group (only 7 people), I liked the guide and what he told us, I liked the coffee (thanks for that :) ), I liked instead going to the penguin perade, we'd been to a bit more natural area to see them, I really loved spending time in the nature of Phillip Island while the "hiking tour" (it was more a longer walk), but I felt a little bit rushed.. Shane, the nice guide of this tour, told us while having lunch (nice spot and delicious meal), that he wanted to give us more time with the animals at the wildlife sanctuary, because that's the highlight for most of the people. I think he was right about that.. but not for me. It was nice to see kangaroos, koalas, dingos and all the other animals, but they don't belong in small cages! It's so much nicer to see them in their nature habitat.
But all in all I would do this tour again!
Thank you, Shane, for showing me a bit of Phillip Island! :)

A ripper experience! Michael was our guide and we made him teach us Aussie slangs which we all enjoyed so much!! Everything was well thought out and organized. Really love the details down to the homemade snacks, bottles of water for our refill, sun lotion, etc.
