Join me in a fun session to learn about collage art. A great hobby for everyone (from amateur to pro) and a fun way to explore your creativity!
During this collage class, we'll get to know each other and I will share a selection of techniques to get inspired and learn different styles. As you get started on your own creation, I will go over ideas and concepts with each one in the group while sharing tips and ideas (getting started, glue, finishing details) for creating your own collages!

Hi! I'm Maria Sylvia also known as "ia." I am a journalist from Venezuela, but I have been living in sunny Barcelona since 2008. I've always been drawn to art. I started painting as a hobby but in 2012, I took a collage course and just fell in love with all its possibilities. Ever since, I have been doing courses from other artists both online and offline. Since 2013, I've been exhibiting in several galleries and venues in Barcelona. My work has been published as editorial illustrations in magazines like Vogue Spain, online publications and collaborations with brands. Most of my work is handmade using magazines, newspapers, books, photos or pressed leaves and flowers. I love creating with my hands and giving a second purpose to images and elements that inspire me! A super nice experience, time just flew by. The whole workshop is really well made, with a great introduction and easy explanations. Was also nice that the host kept up communication during the event, so while we were cutting and glueing there still was a conversation and we got to know each other better.

This experience was so inspiring and so much fun! Ia was very prepared with an excellent interactive presentation, multiple collage examples, and a well-thought-out format for the class. She demonstrated techniques and gave us feedback and ideas. I highly recommend this or any of Ia's collage experiences and will be looking for more of them in the future for myself.

My sister and I scheduled this vision boarding and collage experience for our family to do together for our mom’s 60th birthday. We had so much fun and it was great to be together virtually to celebrate. Ia did an awesome job sharing her knowledge and encouraging us to explore our own ideas through collage. A great way to start the year and to celebrate my mom!
