Experience the life of a beekeeper with The Bee Adventure Workshop!
Whether you are looking to start your own backyard hive or just have a fascination with honeybees and want to learn more, this workshop is designed to provide an introduction to the craft of beekeeping.
Looking for something fun, different, yet also educational? You have come to the right place. You will be fascinated to learn how much more bees are responsible for. Your session will begin with a short introduction to the bees. Afterwards, you will put on protective gear and go inside the Apiary with one of our Beekeepers. You will hold frames of bees, search for the Queen, and learn how to inspect a hive, among other activities. This is the perfect time to take a photo of your experience, so be sure to bring a camera!
Enjoy the serenity and beauty of the surrounding landscape. Visit our farm venture into an apiary, and finish up with some raw, local honey.
Other things to note
You must be certain that you are not allergic to bees. You will have to sign a liability release form.

You will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience, we will give you a personal tour and let you take a peek into the lives of honeybees. This was well worth every amount of money spent. They truly cared about being able to mentor us through the bee keeping journey. They gave us their phone number and said call them anytime. They were genuinely wanting us to pursue bee company where we live in Indiana.

I really enjoyed my experience here!
It was my girlfriends birthday and she wanted to learn how to care for bees and this was a very hands on journey that she couldn’t stop raving about! The hosts are wonderful . There were a couple of hiccups in the delivery of the presentation but the bee activities made up for it!

Soooooo much fun and really interesting. There was a lot of hands on experience and we all got to be involved with maintaining the hives. My mom, sister and I all walked away with a different understanding of the lives of bees. Can not say enough good things about it. Would be a really nice experience for kids. To get to see where and how we get our honey.

What an amazing morning we spent with the bees! My mom and I loved getting a peek into Guillermo and Maria's simple paradise - first greeted by adorable goats at the entrance and then Maria herself. We spent about an hour learning about the basics of bees, asking Maria every question we could think of, and she had plenty of things to show us before we suited up and got a chance to be hands-on! We met multiple hives and learned about their personalities, searched for the drones and the queen in each, and got to try opening and checking one ourselves. We loved the customized vending machine station that supplies fresh honey and other delights. Maria was patient, confident, knowledgeable and totally awesome throughout the entire experience. Our appreciation for and perspective on bees has totally shifted. Recommend this for anyone who is interested in nature - really unique and so worth it! Thanks for everything Maria and Guillermo!
