Co budeš dělat
We'll meet at subway Kitahama station and have Japanese lesson for 1 hour to 1 and half hour.
We'll start with self introduction in Japanese and then we'll practice some greeting words, such as 'Arigato(Thank you)' 'Sumimasen(Excuse me/I'm sorry)' etc...
Then step up to next level 'phrases frequently used for shopping / restaurant' such as 'Ikura desuka?(How much?)''～ wa doko desuka?(Where is ～?)' etc...
After the lesson we'll walk along a riverside area which is called 'Nakanoshima'.
This is one of my favorite place in Osaka;-)
There are a lot of historical buildings and also very relaxing park area, people call this area 'The oasis in the metropolis'
Also there's a library which has a long history and unique European style.
Then we'll walk through the longest shopping arcade in Osaka which is called 'Tenjinbashi' and drop by 'Tenmangu' shrine nearby.
This shopping street has a lot of old / unique shops which you can't find in the down town area, very local!!
I'll pick up some street food shops on the way, you can fill up your stomach with 1000 yen!
(You can trust my recommendations, I was born and raised in Osaka, 100% Osaka local!haha)

I'll give you 1000 yen cash when we leave for the tour, you can use it at any shops you want during the tour;-)
BUT don't forget to use Japanese as much as you can when you do shopping!;-)
Other things to note
This Japanese lesson is mainly for very beginners.
If you can read Japanese character, I'll provide you the handouts written in Hiragana and Katakana;-)
※Basically the tour will be in English.
If there are some guests who only speak Chinese in the tour, I'll use English and Chinese to explain.

Meeting point is subway Kitahama station.
If the weather is good and not too cold / hot, we'll have the lesson outside in the Nakanoshima park or under Sakura cherry blossom trees (if it's the season), if not we'll have seats at a cafe near the station.
Then we'll walk through the longest shopping arcade in Osaka which is called 'Tenjinbashi' and drop by 'Tenmangu' shrine.
The tour will finish somewhere in the shopping arcade.

Yuko-san was very kind and easy to talk with. She is a very good teacher with a lot of experiences and knowledge about Osaka and Japanese culture in general. The handout she gave was also very helpful. After our session, I was able to use what I learned throughout my whole trip.
While she was teaching me, she explained everything well and she helped me with my pronunciation and gave me examples and situations where I can use some of the phrases. She also answered all of my questions about other phrases I wanted to learn and added some words which she thought was applicable to me. She was also very encouraging and she affirmed me when I tried to order food on my own. She also toured me around and it was a unique experience because I was immersed in the daily activities of the locals. I had a wonderful time! Arigato gozaimasu~

This was such a wonderful experience. We had an absolute blast! I had not expected to learn and become comfortable with as much Japanese language as I did. She made the lesson really fun and in a beautiful location in the park. Afterward we went to a really cool market where she helped me use the Japanese that I had learned. I was so nervous but she made it really simple and we went to places that were very receptive. I tried all sorts of new and absolutely delicious foods. In fact, I could not eat it all but had so much fun trying. I was so much more comfortable after our "Experience" finding and ordering food on my own and we had a lot of fun discussing the differences in cultures in the US and Japan. She also showed me sites and locations that I never would have visited as they certainly are not in any guidebooks. I have told so many people about the experience and would highly recommend. We have done many Airbnb "Experiences", in many countries, and I think this is the very best one. I learned so much, it was very personal, and it was a lot of fun!

Yuko is awesome. I really enjoyed the language lesson, and my cheat sheet plus the lesson came in very handy for the rest of my trip through Japan. The food was also delightful, and the practice ordering made my food ordering much less stressful for the rest of the trip. Yuko was funny and had great stories. I'd definitely do this again.
