THE CONDO

This is a 400 square foot studio located on the sixth floor with great views of Baldy Mountain and phenomenal sunrises. It has a new king-sized bed and a queen-size pull-out couch with a new memory foam mattress. There is a Smart 55inch flat screen TV with HD cable, a closet, four-person breakfast bar, fully equipped kitchen with stove-top range, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker w/ coffee, etc. The bathroom has double sinks, and bathtub/shower, separate toilet room. The unit looks out to the newly renovated courtyard and Bald Mountain.

THE BUILDING

The Village at Breckenridge is a large complex connected to ski school and the Quicksilver Chairlift. The unit is located in Peak 9 Inn, which has heated underground parking, conference center, business center, indoor/outdoor pool, four hot tubs, sauna/steam rooms and gym. Attached to the complex is the lift ticket office, ski gear rental and ski/snowboard school.

PARKING

Please inquire about parking availability as it fills up for last minute bookings.

Parking at the village is a shared heated lot and is available by reservation first come, first serve. If I cannot offer you parking, I will provide you with alternative options. Given the limited parking and parking fee I recommend taking the shuttle from DIA. Please note there is no free overnight parking in the Town of Breckenridge. Garage entry height is: 7 feet 6 inches.

PARKING CHARGES

Parking is NOT INCLUDED.
$25 a night year around

You must pay separately if you need parking. I’ll send an Airbnb Payment request which forwards to the building. Booking doesn't reserve a parking space. Once I make a parking reservation the building charges me. I will not make a parking reservation until you confirm that you want a parking reservation.

SKI SHUTTLE FROM DENVER AIRPORT

I HIGHLY recommend taking the ski shuttle, it's how I get to the condo! Colorado Mountain Express, Peak 1 Express and Summit Express offer excellent options that will pick you up in Denver or at the airport and drop you off at our door for very reasonable prices. By taking the shuttle you don't need a rental car or to pay for parking. The shuttles run the 2.5 hour drive through the mountains regardless of the weather/ highway chain restrictions, offer free bottle water and free wifi. I promise once you are at the condo everything from the chair lift, lift tickets, gear rental, restaurants, bars, groceries, urgent care, Main Street and free bus to the other ski resorts are within 2 blocks.

ALTERNATIVE PARKING OPTIONS

When you arrive, you can park in the front lot for 1 hour free, as long as you go to the Pay for Parking machine and obtain a free ticket. Use of the 1 hour free parking is a great way to unload your car when you arrive. The three best, alternative parking options are as follows:

Option 1: Park at the Satellite Lot (2 miles away) costs $5 a night Mon-Thurs/ $10 a night Fri-Sun. Free bus runs from Satellite to our building from 6:20 am-11:20 pm and can be tracked at breck freer ride. This is the only over night lot in town Full Info: breck park overnight parking.

Option 2: Park at the Ice Rink which is 5 blocks from the building (10 minute walk) rates varies by season and space is limited.

Option 3: Valet in the building with Vail Resorts varies by season, but costs up to $40 a night. (I do not recommend this option as it's the most expensive)

The Town of Breckenridge has eliminated overnight parking between 2am-6am in the streets and all other lots.

NEW COLORADO I-70 HIGHWAY TRACTION LAW IN EFFECT SEPT 1 - May 31
Colorado passed a new traction law all cars (rental or personal) must have four-wheel or all-wheel drive, or snow tires or traction chains and minimum depth for tire tread to be 3/16 of an inch, 24 hours a day between September 1 and May 31 on I-70 up to the mountains. Tickets start at $130 and up to $650 if you block the highway because you did not have the proper equipment.

Because of the new Traction Law, I highly recommend taking the shuttle, as most rental car companies in Denver do not provide any of the equipment to meet this requirement

Guests will have access to the condo and the building amenities, including pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room and gym. Guest can check their skis at the ski valet at the front of the building for no charge. Guest do NOT have access to the front desk as that is part of Vail Resorts and I do not pay for their management services. They will answer questions and usually hold bags.

Much of this building is managed by Vail Resorts and has a traditional front desk, valet, etc. Because I rent the unit on my own, I'm able to provide better pricing than Vail Resorts (and it's cooler). The front desk is not available to guests for anything other than questions. You will have access to the garage if parking is available once you pick up the key card and parking pass from a lockbox located in the garage.

Note that prices vary by day and season.

Cleaning fee is $100 regardless of length of stay. I proudly pay my housekeepers a fair living wage in the mountains and in return we've received phenomenal service for years.

12.65% Breckenridge room tax is INCLUDED in your quoted rate.

No resort fees, unlike Vail properties.

There is no air conditioning in summer, but you rarely need it. No balcony. No fireplace.

Since the windows are used to cool the unit and it's in the mountains, at times surface areas can be slightly dusty. I promise we dust at every cleaning, but it's the mountains and the windows are open.

Consider taking the Colorado Mountain Express, Peak 1 Express or Summit Express to/from Denver or Denver International Airport to Breckenridge. This is a much more affordable option than renting a car, safer if you are not experienced driving on snow covered mountain road, much greener and relaxing. CME has an unsurpassed safety record, flexible daily schedules, impeccably maintained vehicles and courteous, friendly drivers let you sit back, relax and take in the Rocky Mountain scenery. CME provides direct door to door service to our condo and the ride has free wifi for the entire ride! I-70 has become very strict on chain regulations in winter weather and CME runs regardless of conditions outside.

The Village at Breckenridge is located at the base of Peak 9 and the Quicksilver lift. One side of the building backs up directly to the lift, Breckenridge Ski/ Snowboard School, Breckenridge Sports Rentals, the season pass/lift ticket office, Urgent Care, and Maggie Pond. The other side is about 500 feet from Main Street where most restaurants and shopping are available. The Village recently completed a massive courtyard renovation and is now host to The Art Festival, Beer Festival, Farmers Market and more! We are steps from the Recreation Path, which will take you to the Blue River for fly fishing or a picnic, Breckenridge Auditorium for live music and events, Recreational Center, restaurants and shopping, and all the way to Frisco if you like!
