We live in a huge, beautiful house (400 sq meters) in the Palermo Viejo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The house was built in 1898 and has six large bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Our idea is to offer our guests a temporary home away from home.

We are always welcoming people from all over the world, creating a beautiful international community of travelers who help one another and share travel experiences.

You are welcome in our home!

Prostor
We live in a beautiful, spacious (400 sq meter) house in the Palermo neighborhood. The house, constructed in 1898, has a typical Old Buenos Aires architecture called “casa chorizo” (“sausage house”) due to its long, skinny layout. There are seven large bedrooms, six of which are available for our guests to rent. The whole house is meant to be shared and includes: a fully equipped kitchen; a lovely dining room; a beautiful patio with grill (parrilla); and a huge rooftop terrace (150 sq meters) for laying out in the sun, playing ping pong or foosball, or simply to enjoy the fresh air!

All of the rooms for rent have their own private bathroom, closet, desk, heat and A/C unit, and Wi-Fi. All rooms are spacious with a double bed.

If you’d like to see listings for other rooms in the house, you’ll find them on my profile.

Palermo is a cool neighborhood with a wide variety of cultural offerings, restaurants, grills, sushi, vegetarian food, bars, etc. It is centrally located in the city and is a safe place to stay. Our neighborhood has easy access to different modes of public transportation.

From Dec 2019, the house has a new host couple. Naomi and Felipe will be taking over from our previous hosts, Caro and Lauti, to help me welcome guests and make sure everyone feels at home. Naomi -27 years old- is originally from Paris, Francia and Felipe-29 years old- is a Cheff and Personal Trainer from Buenos Aires. They both love Buenos Aires deeply and are here to help you have an unforgettable stay. I go to the house daily so I’m sure we will meet and chat over coffee or wine.

The spirit of the house is to offer our guests a place to arrive and feel at home. We will be happy and available to help your visit to Buenos Aires.

See you soon!

Přístup pro hosty
The kitchen is very well equipped and is available 24 hours. Given that it is shared, it’s important to keep it clean and wash EVERYTHING that is used. We offer an industrial size refrigerator with plenty of space for each room. The kitchen is located off a picturesque and authentic patio with a grill which serves as the heart of the house.

Upstairs, there is a massive rooftop terrace (150 sq meters) with a wood deck covered with plants and a “winter garden” which we use as a living, TV, and reading room.

We offer a room cleaning service three times per week and a weekly change of sheets and towels.

Další věci, které stojí za zmínku
VERY IMPORTANT:

-The house is located on the first floor, up one flight of stairs and, therefore, is not apt for people with motor difficulties.

-This is an old, restored FAMILY HOME with rooms for rent, NOT A HOTEL. For that reason, we do not recommend this house for people who expect the amenities and comfort that a hotel may offer (for example, 24 hour reception desk attention).

Buenos Aires, Autonomní město Buenos Aires, Argentina

Bars and cafes, chain stores and independent boutiques, expats and foreign students... there is literally no avoiding the sprawling barrio of Palermo. It’s a mini-city in itself and, whether for accommodation or nightlife, you are guaranteed to spend a fair amount of your Buenos Aires stay here.

So what about Palermo Viejo? This is the oldest part of the barrio and occupies its southeastern corner. If you haven’t worked it out already, ‘viejo’ means ‘old’ in Spanish. The barrio actually incorporates both Palermo Hollywood and Palermo Soho. However, here we will concentrate on the eastern area bounded by Avenida Santa Fe to the north, Coronel Diaz to the east, Cordoba to the south, and Scalabrini Ortiz to the west.

In its early days, Palermo Viejo attracted immigrant communities, including Armenians, Lebanese, Polish and Ukrainians, as well as Spanish and Italian families looking to move away from the city’s southern areas. Today, this multicultural influence is visible in the barrio’s restaurants, churches and cultural centers.

Palermo Viejo as an entirety started as a residential and proletarian barrio. Its modern day popularity took off in the 1980s when locals began to capitalize on the tree-lined streets and plazas that gave its bohemian atmosphere.

Whilst Palermo Hollywood and Soho have since turned into nightlife and shopping districts, this section of Palermo Viejo maintains a more low key profile. The development of large apartment blocks is inevitable but walking around the inner streets you will notice a strong prevalence of Spanish-style homes.
