The Gardens Apartment is nestled in the tranquil, leafy riverside suburb of Taroona and is just 10 minutes drive from the Hobart CBD, Salamanca precinct and the ferry or bus to MONA. There is a bus stop 75m from the apartment.

Purpose-built in 2013 and fitted out to a high standard, The Gardens Apartment is completely self-contained and will appeal to tourists or business travellers who would like to enjoy some peace and quiet as well as a serious fully-equipped kitchen while away from home - featuring gas cooktop (with flame-fail detection), 3 function oven, dishwasher, fridge and front-load washing machine. There’s also an espresso coffee machine (E.S.E pod system) with complementary coffee pods. A selection of teas are provided, as are some breakfast goodies for our guests' first morning.

The breakfast bar doubles as a laptop-friendly workspace. Overhead downlights, power points with built-in USB chargers and fast reliable WiFi (NBN Tier 3) make this a great work environment. Extra tech support is available on request, including access to WiFi printing, 24” computer monitor, keyboard and mouse ensure working away from home will be hassle-free.

The lounge features high quality 'Tessa' leather lounge chairs and flued gas heating. 40” LED Full HD Smart TV provides Netflix, YouTube, Freeview catch-up as well as two popular social media apps (some require user accounts). There's a Blu-Ray/DVD player and a range of movies for your enjoyment and an Internet radio accessing over 25,000 stations from around the world. A bluetooth stereo soundbar provides great audio for TV or your own music.

The bathroom is compact and stylish and there is a separate toilet.

The spacious upstairs bedroom has a specially designed lighting system, twin built-in robes and new queen-size bed with high quality pocket spring mattress for minimum partner disturbance and a restful night's sleep. Bedside power points are also USB equipped for phone charging.

The apartment has its own courtyard and clothes line. Under-cover off-street parking for guests is adjacent to the apartment.

Nearby there’s easy access to beaches, cafés, pubs, restaurants and the renowned Lipscombe Larder - a delicatessen that provides wonderful meals – either ready-to-cook or pre-cooked, as well as a great selection of Tasmania’s outstanding cool climate wines and fine local produce.

The Gardens Apartment is purpose-built and Council-approved as a Visitor Accommodation and meets all the health and safety standards required for such accreditation. It is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detector/alarms, integrated emergency lighting system, fire extinguisher and fire blanket, flame-fail isolation on gas cooktop, fully-flued gas heater (sealed inlet and exhaust), floor-level safety lighting on the stairs, non-flammable 100% wool carpets, first aid kit, emergency contact sheet and an evacuation plan.

The Gardens Apartment offers great value. It is available for stays of between 3 and 14 nights and the published per-night price is discounted for stays of 7 nights or more in any season (see booking calendar for details).
