Park
“One of the "smaller parks" in Seattle, this is always a great spot for a quick rest if you want to sit on some benches and look over the reflecting fountain and pool, or lay on a grassy hill. At this park you'll often find dog walkers and group games playing soccer/baseball/basketball/tennis/frisbee - people are more likely than not friendly, so join in! *Great to walk through if you are heading to the Link Light Rail Station RECOMMENDATION: Stop by "Dicks" and enjoy it at the park! DISTANCE FROM MY SPOT = .5miles ~8min to walk”

“Discovery Park is a 534 acre natural area park operated by the Seattle Parks and Recreation. It is the largest city park in Seattle, and occupies most of the former Fort Lawton site. The site is one of breathtaking majesty. Situated on Magnolia Bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Discovery Park offers spectacular view of both the Cascade and the Olympic Mountain ranges. The secluded site includes two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as open meadow lands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets and streams. The role of Discovery Park is to provide an open space of quiet and tranquility away from the stress and activity of the city, a sanctuary for wildlife, as well ”

“Look up the map to this trail great for walking, running and especially biking. It goes from beyond the beaches on Lake Washington at Magnuson Park (where there is an off leash dog park, boat ramps too) all the way to Ballard. It runs along a lot of water areas with stunning views of downtown and peaks into different neighborhoods. Start at Gas Works Park and follow the trail through Fremont to Ballard. Or go the opposite direction all the way to Magnuson Park!”
