Rockport Beach is considered a "Blue Wave" beach. It has covered picnic cabanas, BBQ grills, beach playground areas, a volleyball court, a public boat launch and fish cleaning stand, a walking trail, 800' fishing pier, an area for water skiing and boarding and a bird sanctuary. It's a great place for the whole familly!

San Jose Island is a short passenger ferry boat ride from Fisherman's Wharf in Port Aransas. Ferry service is limited; be sure to plan ahead. Lightning whelks, shark eyes, sand dollars and many other species of shells sprinkle the sandy shoreline.
