Nice hangouts in my neighbourhood
Parks & Nature
The Vondelpark is the biggest park in Amsterdam I believe and it's really nice. I often go there sit on a blanket and read a book or have some food with friends. When the weather is nice you'll see all Dutchies hanging out here.
You can walk through it towards the centre. You'll end up on Museumsquare or Leidseplein. There's also a bar called the blue tea house. There's an Amsterdam brewery there as well, called brouwerij 't IJ and my favourite is the IJ wit (a white beer).

All the big famous museum on Museumplein (museum square) are pretty cool. Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk museum. You can walk to museumplein from my place and by bicycle it's not even 10 minutes. I've also heard that Foam is really cool, it's a photo museum.
