The 7th arrondissement is located in the heart of the French capital, along the left bank. It is the most populated, the most expensive and with the least amount of shops in Paris! This does not make it any less of a Parisian nugget for offering an exceptional, if not unequalled, quality of life. Located in the heart of the most beautiful monuments of the capital, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, with its private mansions entrenched behind high walls, gardens and secret courtyards, the 7th arrondissement remains a paradise for those who believe in the adage "let's live happily, let's live hidden"! You can visit the Rodin and Orsay museums, the Eiffel Tower, the Pont Alexandre 3 and the Grand Palais and the most beautiful avenue in the world: the Champs Elysées. Whether it is the Champ de Mars, Breteuil, Invalides or Saint Thomas d'Aquin, it is good to live in this green, calm, spacious but nevertheless very lively and therefore popular district of Paris!
The districts of the 7th arrondissement are part of what is called the "beaux quartiers" of western Paris. Many official and political institutions are concentrated there. There are many ministries (including the Hôtel Matignon, the official residence and workplace of the head of government), the National Assembly, the Hôtel des Invalides, the École Militaire, the headquarters of UNESCO, the headquarters of the Île-de-France regional council, and many embassies. In the rue de Solférino was the headquarters of the Socialist Party (PS) from 1981 to 2018. It is in this same street that was once also located the headquarters of the Rassemblement du peuple français (RPF) of General de Gaulle. The headquarters of the UDF and then of the MoDem is located in rue de l'Université.
