Walking

There are a number of places to begin the ascent to the peak of Snowdon depending on your level. The Pyg Track is a popular route, but the Watkin Path is a stunning ascent to the summit. There are several routes and it is strongly recommended to read up on what each route entails before attempting your climb.

Mountain biking

One Planet Adventure mountain biking. Green & blue trails so fine for families (not very young children though). Also red & black trails for more experienced riders. Easier than Gwydir more like a rollercoaster!

This is a beautiful walk (about 4-5km) ending at a spectacular waterfall. It is located near the village of Abergwyngregyn. Within a stones throw of Aber Falls is the Aber Falls Distillery.

A reservoir surrounded by 2500 acres of forest and moorland which you can walk, cycle around or just picnic nearby and it’s in a beautiful area. There is a visitor centre, café, gift shop, Osprey exhibition, adventure playground, cycle hire, mountain biking, walking trails, sailing and fishing. It takes about 1-2 hours for a leisurely cycle around and is very family friendly.
