This is a must! Definitely one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to, including that I have seen a lot of parks from NYC famous Central Park to London's Regent's or Shanghai parks. Maksimir has lakes, woods, zoo, and such a scenery which is breathtaking. I advise you to get lost in the woods because that's how you gonna explore it the best. If you come in spring time - go for a picnic on the meadow, ride bikes, take a long walk...

if you staying few days more and if it is a warmer weather season, give one day to this beautiful, charming small town just short ride from Zagreb. Contact us in advance if you want to plan - we can help you! There is so much to see there, beautiful nature, picturesque little town with old bridges, nice architecture and little hills surrounding it. Traditional famous restaurant Krcma K Gabreku is there which you have to try if you in Samobor. Also there is a famous Grgos cave and Nature Park Zumberak which is a must

Upper Town is a walk through history of Zagreb. You ca easily spend the whole day over there if you have time but if you on a rush then def go just for a walk, to see Crkva Sv Marka, Kamenita vrata and the views. If you have more time then you can organise a lunch at famous Zagreb's Konoba Didov San - where you can try snails if you like them - but also you can go for a long walk, visit Klovicevi dvori but also a Museum of Broken Relationships (very cool concept).

I'm personally not a big fan of Jarun - I would rather go extra day to Maksimir then to Jarun, but if you have time go see it because a lot of people like it. Especially if you here in warmer time then def go see it. Also nightlife over spring/summer is very good over there, lots of bars and clubs. If you're active then you gonna love Jarun. There are spots for sand volleyball, riding bikes, rowing etc

Ok this is a GEM! Sljeme is treasure for Zagrebcani (the people of Zagreb). You can hike up there (highly recommended) or you can go by car (if you need a ride ping us in advance if we available we gonna find a way to get you there) So, if you go for a hike then the best thing is to take uber, put Bikceviceva Staza. It will take you on the beginning of Bikceviceva trail where you can choose Bikceviceva (a bit intense) or Leustekova trail which is a bit easier but in my opinion also more beautiful. Each trail is gonna lead you to a different top and different restaurant. You won't miss it either way you choose. We usually go on Sunday's, it like a tradition for Zagreb people so you gonna see a lot of local people over there and their way of living. Young adults, families, even older groups... But this is just a pinch of what Sljeme has to offer, once you there you should def go to see the tower also Medvedgrad which is breathtaking.

Ok it's a cemetery and maybe not on your top priority because of that - but Mirogoj is so unique and so breathtaking that you have to go see it. I will stop explaining here why - just def dont miss Mirogoj while in Zagreb

Food Scene
Traditional Bosnian restaurant should def be one of your restaurant to-go's while in Zagreb. If you want to feel live music try going from Thursday till Saturday. If you are a larger group you might need a reservation. Regarding food everything is delicious, some of our favourites are: ustipci or burek for appetizers, klepe or kvrgusa for main dish, but also bamija, zmaj od bosne etc. Their BBQ is also top notch
