Great Chocolates and restaurant and you can view how they make chocolates and take home some goodies, all in a days drive from the retreat also visiting, the raspberry farm and cheese farm. Enjoy the food trail.

Great wines, food and location. Its a great drive from the retreat about 1 hour away enjoy the many wineries along the way and make this a stop for lunch. A personal favourite of mine.

My personal favourite right in the middle of Launceston opposite the beautiful Princess Park which is also worth a visit. Budda is not fancy but the locals go here, great did I say great coffee. Lunch and dinner but you can also just pop in for coffee and the best almond croissant.

The best view while you relax and have your lunch, over looking the golf course, sand dunes and the coast, there is a secret path way to one of Tasmania's best beaches, you will probably be the only person on the beach. Another favourite of mine.

The Cataract Gorge is a must if you are coming to Launceston right in town we have an amazing natural gorge with many bush walks, chair lift, cafe and restaurant.

This is a great walk visiting birds on the wetlands, just besides Launceston you can enjoy this walk over a few hours.

Deloraine is about a 40 minute drive away from the retreat which can be reached via the freeway or by wandering through the small towns along the way. The town is set along the Meander River where at times you can get to see a platypus if your lucky. A great towns with little shops in a pretty setting, from Deloraine there are many things to see and do within a few hours drive. Don't forget the visitors centre its well worth it.

A must if you are visiting Tasmania, just 1.5 hours drive from the retreat, so many walks and wildlife available. Don't forget to visit Waldheim chalet it has history and a magical forest walk and you will no doubt see many wombats.

A gorgeous little town on the way to Hobart from Launceston. History, with female convicts and a great bridge. A few bakeries will enable you to top up with coffee and goodies. Just 1.5 hours away.
