NICE PLACES IN TOWN
Nice walk from our loft, lovely neighbourhood. The Born is an area considered to be of contrasts, as the historic Barcelona coexists with shops with risky, innovative trends with proposals for fashion, art and gastronomy. In addition to shops, some places of interest are: [4] Carrer de Montcada is home to the Museu Picasso and the Sala Montcada. Santa Maria del Mar. The Plaça de les Olles. The old Born Market has been converted into the Born Cultural Center since 2013.

Short and nice walk from our loft through Parc Ciutadella. Also, metro Bogatell, 5 minuts to Plaza San Jaume stop, direct. Barri Gotic is the historic centre of the old city of Barcelona. It stretches from La Rambla to Via Laietana, and from the Mediterranean seafront to the Ronda de Sant Pere. It is a part of Ciutat Vella district. The quarter encompasses the oldest parts of the city of Barcelona, and includes the remains of the city's Roman wall and several notable medieval landmarks.[1] Much of the present-day fabric of the quarter, however, dates to the 19th and early 20th centuries.[2]El Call, the medieval Jewish quarter, is located within this area, along with the former Sinagoga Major.[3] The Barri Gòtic retains a labyrinthine street plan, with many small streets opening out into squares. Most of the quarter is closed to regular traffic although open to service vehicles and taxis.

Nice walk from our loft through Parc Ciutadella, El Born. The spacing of the columns is the widest of any Gothic church in Europe From the outside, Santa Maria gives an impression of massive severity that belies the interior. In contrast with the exterior, the interior gives an impression of light and spaciousness.
