Trams are the best overall option to get around.
The tram system is really reliable and relatively cheap. There are options for a day ticket weekend ticket week ticket etc. Travel in zone 1, the city centre is free. Honestly there aren’t many parts of Manchester that don’t have a tram line near them. It’s the least stressful, most enjoyable and cheapest option,
Zvyky a kultura
Mancs are pretty friendly.
This is a friendly city and very multicultural. There’s a lot going on here and there are people from all walks of life. I would say Manchester is the most tolerant city I’ve ever been to. I would also say that diversity is celebrated here, so feel free to be yourself.

It rains. A lot. I always carry a waterproof with me unless it’s the peak of summer.

Restaurants
Most restaurants in Manchester are ridiculously busy right now. We now book everything before we go because we have been unable to find tables anywhere before. This is mostly on the weekends. We even book for lunch now.

The bee
The bee has become a symbol of Manchester. The bee symbolises how everyone works together to achieve things. You’ll see images of bees all over the city. It’s an important symbol for Mancunians and you’ll even spot bee car stickers and plenty of people with bee tattoos. To show solidarity after the arena bombing people lined the streets to get tattoos of bees with the price of the tattoo going to support survivors and families of those who sadly passed.

Trams and free museums
Honestly just use the trams. I promise I’m not employed by transport for greater Manchester. Taxis are expensive here. Black cabs are the worst and I’d avoid them as much as possible. Hit all the free things in the city. There’s plenty to keep you occupied.
