This welcoming place is a three block walk from the house. It has indoor and outdoor seating and they love dogs! Their food is always tasty and fresh, and drinks are great!

About five blocks away, this place is great in the day or at night, when it becomes, "Crisol." The atmosphere is gorgeous, an old barrio house that has been refurbished, but not too much. The flavors of the food and drinks are spectacular. They specialize in Mescal and deal with many Mexican mescal farmers/distilleries. Both indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome outdoors. Sometimes you may catch some music on the back patio.

This place is one of my favorite places for Mexican food....although we are in a food oasis, so there's lots! It's only open until 2pm but now open on Saturdays. It's the best breakfast/lunch place in the downtown area for authentic Mexican food.

La Indita is a family tradition. It moved to it's current location just after covid and it is delicious and not overpriced! The folks who are cooking and running the place are the same family that opened it decades ago. Such fresh flavors and atmosphere. The outdoors is a nice oasis and they welcome doggos!

If you want locally made food with a really reasonable price tag, this is the place for you. The homemade corn tortillas and the fresh fruit pico are outstanding. It's in South Tucson, about ten blocks south of the house.

Tap & Bottle Downtown opened its doors in 2013 in a beautiful historic building close to Congress Street, 4th Avenue and the University of Arizona. T&B offers live music, trivia, food trucks, tasting events, and an array of craft beer, wine and ciders. This location is the perfect destination for Tucson locals and visitors seeking a laid-back atmosphere.
