This is a fantastic little café featuring great coffee and delicious European-style baked goods. The worst part about it is that they are closed on Mondays (and I always seem to want to go on Mondays...)

This little cart churns out a LOT of crêpes of all different flavors. You'll often see a line down the block...and it's well-deserved. Try getting there when they open (9am) to beat the rush and enjoy this Breckenridge classic!

Warning: only visit Empire Burger if you are sanguine about finding all other burger joints lacking. This is the best burger in Breck and possibly the best burger you will find, full stop. Be sure to splurge on the onion rings and try one of their many sauces (the curry mustard is our favorite).

Aurum is our favorite restaurant in Breck for a nice night out. The modern-American cuisine NEVER disappoints, the cocktails are fabulous, and the ambiance makes it great for a date night. Leave the kiddos at home and enjoy an adult night out! Reservations should be made in advance (by phone - no Internet reservations currently).

Parks & Nature
A popular pastime amongst Coloradans is bagging 14ers - summiting the state's peaks reaching over 14,000 feet above sea level! Quandary is easy to access and the Eastern approach is as easy as they come (which is still pretty tough!)

I was recently asked out on a trail: "If we follow this trail, will it take us to the mine?" "Which mine?" was my response. Breckenridge is full of decommissioned mines, but Sallie Barber is one of the most iconic. It's a short, 1.4mi hike to the mine (2.8mi round trip) with some beautiful scenery on the way.
