There is also a possibility to hire bicycles at the visitors’ centre. Get up early and enjoy the peace and quiet of the reservoir - how many birds can you identify?

If it’s a walk in a forest or a ride on a mountain bike, you are about fifteen minutes drive from it when staying with us. Should you feel adventurous, check out the zip wires at Go Ape.

The village is well serviced, with a grocery store (incl post office and a cash machine), a chemist, a greengrocer, a dry cleaner, a cafe, a florist and even a gallery. There is a doctor’s surgery, a couple of garages, a bakery, a fishmonger (Saturday mornings) and of course a church. All about a mile and a half from the Hopper Hut.
If you decide to try out a new recipe and don’t want to buy your ingredients in bulk visit the zero waste shop Buy The Weigh in the high street!
