Getting Around
Closest West Rail Station which connect to LTR (to Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai) and MTR (to most parts of the city).

This is a small bus terminal but the 968 and N968 serve from Yuen Long to Western Harbour Tunnel (close to the famous W Hotel and Element the shopping mall) and the northern part of Hong Kong Island.
Another lovely bus 64K brings you to Taipo. And you can hop off at Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden which is an amazing conservation and education centre, with some super safe trail for brief hiking. Moreover, 64K can bring you to the Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees.
Kik Yeung Road

This is a restaurant of more than 40 years. Serve western dishes with a fusion of Hong Kong style. Baked Alaska is my all time favourite.

Serve traditional Hakka style dishes, using very fresh but basic ingredients like squids, bitter gourds, pork.... to make their dishes. The dessert "dark sugar pudding with red dates" is highly recommended.

You can find shops and mobile stalls selling different types of street food near the Castle Peak Road in the street. And on the way to Hop Yick Road, you can find more bigger shops for street food, desserts in Hong Kong style, Cha Chaan Teng (茶餐廳) of different brand names, and BBQ, congees, all sort of nice comfort food can be found.

Delicious Japanese food restaurant with quality food and very reasonable price. Buffet style is the best for money for value. Very close to my place. I go to this restaurant very often.

Sightseeing
Scenic and quiet island in HK. You may meet the highest density of English-speaking population in this island. You can go to the Central Pier 4 via West Rail (drop off at Hong Kong Station) or 968 (drop off at Jardine House Station), and go to this lovely island by ferry.

This is a nice museum next to Shing Mun River in Sha Tin that you can have nice walk around. The permanent exhibitions are wonderful, with occasional thematic exhibitions of interesting topics.

Designers' hub, with a chic cooking school, boutiques, souvenir shops. PMQ originally was a quarter for the police officers, in a rather compact design for each apartment. Nostalgic but interesting.

Chic and in-style shopping mall just opened for a year. It has numbers of interesting and good restaurants, and it is connected to Yoho I and Yoho II malls, and close to the Yuen Long West Rail Station, you can find many essential shopping items here.

Built in 1913–14, this road is named after Hong Kong’s 14th governor, Sir Fredrick Lugard. The sections that are narrow, cliff-side paths are called ‘plank roads’. After about 20 minutes, you’ll arrive at the Lugard Road lookout, which offers a spectacular panoramic view of Victoria Harbour.
