Where to go, what to see

Zaton is a small town only 11 kn away from historic citiy of Šibenik. Zaton is still an undiscovered place for a peacefull family vacation with two nearby beaches, restaurants, cafe bars, local clinic, post office, children playground, basketball court, supermarkets, bike and hiking routes and all in a walking distance. For those who want something more – sports, sightseeing, historical, cultural and tourist events it is an excellent location for day trips around Dalmatia. Šibenik is only 10 minutes drive away – experience the riches of the old town by walking trough its ancient streets, visit museums, churches, St. James chatedral and galleries, explore renovated fortresess – St. Michael and Barone, participate in the Children's festival, Festival of Klapa, Off Jazz/Blues Festival, Festival of Dance and many other events that are held in the city every year; daily excursions to National park Kornati or National park Krka Zadar an hour drive north along the seaside takes you to the most northern Dalmatian city – see the Sea Organ, an experimental musical instrument that creates sounds using the force of the waves that strike against the stone; Monument/Greetings to the Sun, a modern installation consisting of three hundred multilayered glass panels shaped into a circular form with 22 m radius; Donatus Church from 9th century; St. Anastasia's Chatedral and enjoy the Night of the Full moon festival Trogir is an historic town, a 40 minutes south from Šibenik and on your way to Split. It has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. With it's narrow stone streets and the Chatedral of St. Lawrence,churches, the historical palaces, towers and fortress Kamerlengo it deserves it's nickname „The stone beauty“ Split an ancient town in the very heart of Dalmatia, a important traffic junction a great place to experiance historic monuments and cultural sites – Archeological Museum, Galerija Meštrović, Museum of senses, Chatedral od St. Domnius, Diocletian's Palace with it's alleys, squares and corners, numerous restaurants, bars, exibitions and souvenir shops.
