About 15 minutes walk from Tangmere Place. Travis Wetland is the last large freshwater wetland in Christchurch - an important habitat for native wetland plants and birds. A great walk (takes about 45 minutes circular).

A great beach for walks, surfing, or just sitting and taking in the sunset/sunrise - get some fish 'n chips at the North Beach Fish Supply, or enjoy coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner at Salt on the Pier. Take a walk on New Brighton Pier and indulge in some reading at the Library. The Saturday markets are an eclectic mix - something to enjoy (from 9am - 3pm). Norh New Brighton is about a 7 minute drive.
