Unique, friendly and fun place to have Malaga's 'Pescaíto frito' (fried fish) and 'espetos de sardinas' (barbecued sardines). They also serve ‘boquerones (whitebait), calamares, calamaritos, chopitos, salmonetes, pescadillas, almejas, navajas, gambas, mejillones, conchas finas, huevas’ and 3-4 types of salad and roasted vegetables. Great for kids too. Plenty of traditional desserts as well.

MEAT TAPAS: You need to stand or sit on a high chair. Lovely meat and stews. They also have artichokes and aubergines with goat cheese. Nice street atmosphere, you get to talk to others in the restaurant and near by.

Iconic Muslim Castle tells you about the rich history of this land. I recommend taking the lift right behind the Town Hall to avoid walking up hill but walking down hill instead after admiring the outstanding views.

Phone them to book your ice cream cake to take away, I would definitely do that as their queues are endless... You get a number and can wait for 15 min easily. The wait is still worth it though. I recommend to phone them and order a small Carapino Ice Cream Frozen Cake (cream, pine nuts & caramel) to take away. The area is not the nicest in the city, there are better places to eat your treat but no better ice cream shops. Collect it and eat it at apartment terrace with friends on a special occasion.
