The Old School Campsite is home to Creative Outdoors which offers a wide range of outdoor activities from climbing and archery to mountain biking and canoeing. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an experienced adventurer we have something for you.
There is also a whole range of art and craft workshops too for those that fancy getting creative. Whether you are new to a skill or have been doing it for years there's a workshop for you; from silver jewellery making to bookbinding, crochet to printing, free motion embroidery to felt making. Loose hours in our studio and get inspired by the beautiful surrounding countryside, no better way to relax and enjoy your stay.
This is a great opportunity to spend time with friends and family doing something you'll love or even get a break away from them and have some time to yourself!

There is so much available in the surrounding areas of the campsite. Culture, history, wildlife and activities for kids. The hard thing will be fitting it all into your stay!

Not exactly your normal holiday visit but if you like an Aladdin's cave this place is amazing. A traditional fuel pump outside (still in use!), a fab selection of gardening things and lots of homewares. If your tent or caravan needs fixing up you'll definitely find what you need!

Eating out as a family (and as a couple when we can!) is one of our favourite things to do. We especially love the independent cafes and restaurants in the area.
I actually dream about the scones from this gorgeous café! And the staff are so lovely (so much so that they helped us decide to move here!). Home cooked food, gorgeous décor and fab people. What's not to like.

Cool interiors (that's what you get when you ask a designer to review somewhere!) and of course delicious food. Good service and family friendly. Beats the big chains when you're exploring the city.
