Set in this beautiful historic town you can buy fresh fruit and veg, meats, local cheeses and bread. Enjoy taking in the atmosphere while enjoying a coffee from one of the numerous cafes around the square.

At this vineyard you can arrange for a guided tour from the owners, taste the wines they produce and they will also provide you with a picnic basket to enjoy local pates, cheeses and breads in the grounds.

Visit the impressive church of St. Catherine in the centre of the town and discover the old buildings, arches and bridges. The tourist office has maps of a walk around the town explaining the history of the area. Additionally why not take a guided boat trip (approx 1 hr) along the river Lot and see this historic town from the river.

The pictures don't do this place justice. Perfect for a relaxing summer day. Wander around the gardens, enjoy a meal overlooking the lake. This garden holds the national collection of water lilies. One of my favourite places on a sunny day I never get tired of visiting these gardens

This British owned small brewery delights in showing customers how their beer is brewed. Down a small side street in Monpazier, itself a gorgeous French village, this is a little gem. Take a short tour where the proud owners will explain how they brew their beer, then sit in the bar and sample a selection.

Who doesn't love chocolate. Rody's is a chocolate museum as well as a shop, learn how chocolate is grown and produced from bean to bar. Grind your own beans, customise your own chocolate bar. There's a huge variety to buy and try all made and produced on site, even sugar free varieties. What I love is that you can choose exactly how much you want to buy, as they will break small chucks off of huge bars so you can take home little bites of each variety. Take your purse cos you won't be coming out empty handed.

It's amazing what occurs in nature. In the Lastournelle caves you'll experience the naturally formed stalactites and stalagmites. First discover by local farmers when digging a well.
