The National Stud. About 45 minutes away. Wonderful for horse lovers, interesting guided tours in English and French. A history dating back Centuries. The Haras du Pin hosts a number of events over the year with its nearby race track holding 4 days of mixed racing a year.

If you are interested in the WW2 Battle of Falaise this is the place where it all happened. Very well presented though a horrific subject. It shows what both sides and the locals endured. Loss of life was huge and among the horses too, these animals were being used as a means of transport.
