Lots of great hiking trails and vistas. You won't believe you're still in LA city limits! If you're visiting in the winter months, do beware that even though the forest is only 30 minutes (or less) from the casita, there may be snow and other extreme weather due to the elevation.

There is a closer location than this, but it's THE busiest Trader Joe's in the US. That's why I love going to this one istead. Getting into the parking lot and parking is WAY easier, not to mention the store is less crowded.

You can hang out at one of the tables and soak in the view with a bite from their cafe or venture inside to see the planetarium and peek through the massive telescope.
