When I lived in the area I walked this beach daily, truly one of my favorites. Only about a 20 minute drive from the house (17 km) in Dunfanaghy, go through the golf course to access.

The park has everything from beautiful woodland trails (locals say you can stitch together several trails and walk 15km through 5 different habitats), coastal scenery with tress down to the water's edge, lakes, rivers and megalithic tombs. megalithic tombs. Scenic, cultural, great views, a recommendation of places to go to see this area of Donegal at its best!
Even if you're not big on lighthouses, the 30 minute drive is well worth it, the views from the top are spectacular, and the tour is very well done. The area is well worth visiting, I head over there every time I come over.

Worth the drive over, beautiful area, music scene and The Dunlewey Centre has lots of activities. You can hike Errigal Mountain from this area (see Outdoor section).

Beautiful scenic drive that offers panoramic unobstructed views out to sea over 3 peninsulas. The Lough Salt Drive is the upper road behind the house, head towards Carrigart and take a sharp right at the first opportunity, (which will take you towards Letterkenny). Driving from Letterkenny the turnoff is between Kilmacrennan and Termon.

Town has a few eating places, grocery, post office (in Centra), ATM, (in Centra), credit union, bakery, gift shop and chemist, among other shops along the main road. There's a petrol station at the other end of town, about .5 km.

Lovely to see the town building back up! Besides Roses Pub and Huckleberry Cafe, there's now Scrumptuous Ice Cream shop and the Corner Brew coffee shop. Primo petrol and food shop is right outside the town. About 10km from house
