Apparently this church is burial site of Saint Peter, chief among Jesus apostoles.

from the bottom, offers a prospective simulation of a second temple, superimposed on the first, the real one, in a sinuous movement of columns and arches stretching upward where,
in a golden light, is depicted the glory of St. Ignatius with Christ carrying the Cross. From Christ's side a beam of light
illuminates Ignatius, from which in turn moves toward four allegorical figures around him representing the four
continents then-known.
