Beaches Nearby
A quiet and peaceful location just 5 minutes from the AirBnB. One of my personal favorites for a relaxing visit to the beach or walking to see the sunrise/sunset. Belleair Beach will be one of the calmest beaches in the area as it is located in between two major destination beaches (Clearwater Beach & St. Pete Beach). Most of the area is made of up condos and rentals, so you will not see a lot of commercial development, beach bars or restaurants on this section of the beach. There is plenty of public/off-street parking. Ideal for a calm day at the beach or a family day at the beach. Please note: the consumption of alcohol is technically illegal on the beach. Most of the time you will be left alone as long as you clean up after yourself and keep any alcohol in a plastic cup or mug. Coolers and such are a normal site, despite local laws.

The ideal, quaint beach town. Just north of the AirBnB you will find Dunedin. Check out The rooftop bar on the Fenway hotel that was recently renovated. Or, stroll through the town square and visit some of the shops. Even better, rent a bike and ride up and down the trails around town!

Originally home to 100+ cigar factories, Tampa Bay is considered to be the Cigar City of the world. Take a trip down Ybor's main street and see numerous cigar shops with cigars being hand-rolled daily. You will also find the worlds best Cuban sandwiches on every street corner.

Shopping, Restaurants, Bars and Boat Rentals! You can schedule dolphin tours, deep sea fishing, boat and jet ski rentals out of John's Pass. From what I have seen, pricing has been fair and reasonable for rentals.

Off the grid, but a ton of fun! Florida is filled with natural springs that no one knows about. Drive up to Weeki Wachi and take a kayak down the Crystal River. If you are lucky, you might even see a Manatee or two!

If you have not heard of Boatsetter (www.boatsetter.com) you should absolutely look into it. It's like Uber for boats. You can rent a boat for 4-8 hours depending on your budget. You can also request a captain if you don't feel comfortable driving the boat yourself. Super easy to do. Gandy Boat Ramp is a common place to drop in. If you're lucky, you can find someone who will drop in at the Belleair Causeway which is just a few minutes from the AirBnB.

They have since built a swim-up bar, DJ booth and camping sites. It's open to the public and a ton of fun. Be sure to back a cooler and plan to be out there for a few hours (you won't want to leave early!). While it is family friendly, it tends to attract more of the party crowd.
