The Milton Diner has the best breakfast in town! I highly recommend the pancakes or the philly cheese steak omelet. Their lunch and dinner is also amazing, plus they have an AMAZING ice cream stand in the summer!

If you have a sweet tooth, you HAVE to go to Madeleline's Bakery. They have fresh made doughnuts and a wide assortment of other pastries. I recommend the cream filled doughnuts or the cinnamon roll!

The Cupboard Deli is about a 30 minute drive from the Lodge, but it is absolutely worth the journey. They sell my all-time favorite doughnuts (high praise because I consider myself a doughnut connoisseur) and have an extensive deli with the tastiest food. If you're headed their for doughnuts, make sure you go first thing in the morning because they sell out fast. You can also call and have them set aside doughnuts to make sure you don't miss them!

If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, the Three Brothers Pizza and Grill is one of my go-to's. They have amazing pizza and a wide variety of subs and salads. I would recommend dining in versus takeout.

It's has a nice outdoor seating spot or a convenient drive-thru option if you're on the go. It's usually super busy around dinnertime, so I recommend visiting during off-peak hours - lunch time is usually a good time.

The Essex Experience offers a wide variety of outdoor activities during the summer. On Wednesdays they have food trucks and live music. On Thursdays they have local vendors who sell the cutest things! I recommend looking up their page on Facebook to check events and times.

Only 15 minutes from the Lodge, the Milton Town Forest offers a variety of trails around the Milton Pond. It's one of my favorite local places to hike in the summer and snowshoe in the winter.

Niquette Bay is local favorite spot for hiking. It offers a variety of trails and you can cliff jump in the summer. It does require an entrance fee during summertime.

This is the BEST trail in Burlington. It's absolutely gorgeous and follows along the Lake. The trail is owned by a local church and you'll have to register online to use the trails. If the church trail parking is closed, you can park at the end of Killarney Drive and walk down the Burlington Bike path to get to the trail.
