Lake Ouachita (pronounced Wash-ah-taw) is a public Corps of Engineers lake and is rated by the EPA as one of the cleanest lakes in the nation. No private development is allowed on the 1,000 miles of wilderness shoreless. Lake Ouachita allows open camping on its 200+ islands, has over 66,000 acres of water averaging 50’ deep, with the deepest area touching 200’. Lake Ouachita is a fisherman’s dream with largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, bream, crappie, catfish, walleye, and world class striped bass. Professional guided fishing trips are also available online. Enjoy swimming, fishing, skiing, sailing, hiking, or just relaxing on this beautiful lake!
