Wexford town, famous for its opera festival in October, is only 20 minutes away and has a lovely pedestrianised centre. Lots of great independent shops and great restaurants. Try Cistin Eile or Greenacres.

A beautiful walk around the grounds and lakes of nearby JOHNSTOWN CASTLE, just five minutes drive from the house are beautiful. The castle is now open to the public with guided tours available and a great restraunt with mouthwatering deserts to choose from
Spot of exercise Plenty of local beaches, . Kilmore quay for diving, cycling, walking, angling and fishing.
Day tripping A visit to the Saltee Islands is a must for bird-watchers where you can see Puffins amongst plenty others.
The Hook lighthouse, one of the oldest in the world, and the second oldest operating lighthouse in the world, is only a short drive away. While you're there you can visit Ireland's most haunted house, Loftus Hall, also famed for its fine mosaics and wood carving.
