Sightseeing
1,000 meters to the west are hiking trails in wooded area around hilltop farm fields;
500 meters to the east is the Birs River with walking trails on both sides all the way to the Rhein (6 Km away);
Basel-Bruderholz
1 km to the southeast guests can find hiking trails and mountain biking trails that go up 400 meters to find Schonmatt restaurant along the way and Gempenturm restaurant at the top - ~10 km to the top. At Gempenturn you'll have great vistas of Baselland, the Jura Mountains stretching away to the southwest, and on clear days you'll see the Alps to the south.
