A mixed neighbourhood tucked in amongst the trees along the Kingsway strip leading out of downtown Vancouver. Lovely character houses, multi-family units and brick rowhomes sit nestled amongst parks and green spaces. With good transit connections and a diverse assortment of quality eating and drinking establishments within walking distance, Cedar Cottage is the ideal spot for your Vancouver vacation.
The best 'hood, obviously, as we live here! Cool but still rough around the edges, Cedar Cottage developed as a stopping point on the long trip from Vancouver to New Westminster. To get your bearings, walk to the corner of Kingsway and Clark, where you will find some commemorative markers...and a drinking establishment displaying aged photos of the area. Pub lovers may be taken aback by the number of tv screens, but take a seat at the bar and you'll be alright. Open until 12-1am most nights

Highlights include Bandida's Taqueria (veggie Mexican), St. Augustine's (taproom), Jamjar (Lebanese), Kishimoto (Japanese), Best Falafel (Middle-eastern), Belgian Fries (poutine!), Havana (Latin) and Biercraft (beer).
