Sue often bikes to the bakery, so if you would like to come along just let her know.
There is a baguette dispenser next to the mayor’s office 100 metres from the manor. The traditional style baguettes are replenished twice a day. Cost 1.10€, coins only but the machine gives change.

Combine with a visit to the Angers fortress where you will see an incredible tapestry. Use one of the park and trams (parking relais tramway) for less stress.

There are several restaurants in the Place de la Bilange that are all worth trying. We like this one as it has nice outdoor seating and is one of the few in the region that offers continuous service i.e. you can get a meal any time.

Arrange your first night dinner and breakfast
After a long drive the last thing you want to do is to think about what to do for dinner. Our local restaurants get busy, so if you wish to eat out the first night we recommend that you book (we can help you with that if you wish). If you wish to stay in you and cook for yourself in your fully equipped kitchen we recommend you bring your ingredients with you. Or let us do the work, take advantage of our first night meal package of a 4 course dinner with wine, and a continental breakfast. Message us for more info.

Make the most of being in wine country
You are in wine country here and have a unique chance to try and buy wine direct from the vigneron at cellar door prices. Martin runs an excellent all-day wine tour that starts in our wine room with a primer on the Loire wine region, how to taste wines and do food pairings. Then it’s off to 3 local winemakers for generous tastings and insider tours of facilities that others don’t get to see. A delicious lunch is included. Cost is €90 per person for guests at the manor, €120 for non-guests. If you want to explore on your own we are happy to provide you with some ideas and discount vouchers
