This is the closest of many McMenamin's establishments, and a great place for food and drinks. It's family/group friendly, and the tots are awesome! I always order the "Rubinator," which is not on the menu. It is a combination of their Terminator Stout and the Ruby ale. It's terrific!

One of my personal favorites for a romantic date night or special event. This steak and seafood menu is awesome, and they have an outrageous happy hour. What makes this place so amazing is it's on the 30th floor and has spectacular views of the city, rivers, and mountains on a clear day.

Don't worry, they wash your hands at the end of your meal. Make sure you're there to enjoy live belly dancing table side. Definitely go for the honey-braised pork shank, yum!

But beware, many of these food trucks are only open for lunch, and some are closed on weekends. When we arrived in off-peak hours, there weren't many stands to choose from. Also, you should note this cert pod may be replaced by a skyscraper some day soon. If that happens, try Cartopia across the river.

This is one of my favorite city parks. It's located along the Portland waterfront of the Willamette River. Paved paths, bridges, and floating docks circle the river and show off this beautiful park. There are dozens of restaurants and shops along the southern end of the West side of the river (Downtown), and you can walk a 6.5 mile loop from Tilikum Crossing (pedestrian/public transportation bridge) to the Steel bridge. There are obvious paths and places of interest along the entire route!
