Only 45 mins away from our home, this quaint town is a quick cool get-away from the heat of the desert sun. Often 15 or so degrees cooler, this idyllic town with cute cabins nestled in the woods is a beautiful contrast to the desert. It's a great day trip!

Bring your water bottle.
Welcome to the desert; it's hot and dry. Bring your water bottle and fill it up with the filtered water from the fridge or the SOMA water filter. The water in Palm Springs is considered "hard", meaning that there is greater mineral content (like vitamins). Per Desert Water Agency (DWA), the cloudy white buildup that you can see in the water is usually calcium or magnesium. Sometimes the cloudy appearance is simply air bubbles as the DWA uses a pressurized system to get water into our homes. Just let the water sit for 30-60 seconds and the bubbles will rise to the top then dissipate.
