Our favorite Asian food in town. It's in an older trip center and doesn't look like much from the outside but if you enjoy Asian food, we highly recommend trying it. They do a lot of take out business.

In the Eagleton Village area, Hops 50 Drive in is a restored old drive in restaurant with pretty good burgers and other items. A fun place to visit if you are our age and grew up going to places like this.

We have a 9 mile beautiful greenway that you can access throughout town. You can walk or bike it. Much of it is shaded and runs along waterways.

Known as the "Quiet side of the Smokies," Townsend is a small town just outside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Check out the Smoky Mountain Heritage Center to learn some fascinating information about the area. Go tubing, grab some ice cream, check out Tuckaleechee Caverns, Cades Cover Cellars (wine), Dark Island Swinging Bridge. Make a reservation for Trailhead Steak House - one of our favorites.
