Direct access by bus 86 from Place Saint Sulpice (27 minutes ride) The Eiffel Tower is one of the best-known landmarks in the world, and near the top of many travelers’ wish lists of things to see in their lifetime. It’s also one of those rare destinations that intrigues children just as much as it does adults! But how to structure a visit to the Eiffel Tower for kids and make it fun for the whole family while in Paris requires some basic knowledge and a plan. To enjoy the Eiffel Tower from the ground. There is no better way to do that than having a picnic under the Eiffel tower. For Eiffel Tower advice, check this link: https://ciaobambino.com/eiffel-tower-with-kids

the southwest corner of this Renaissance garden is devoted to kids. It is called Ludo Jardin and includes slides and swings. FYI Ludo is the local nickname for le Jardin du Luxembourg: my daughters always call it that way Sitting in the shade of century-old plane trees while the kids run themselves ragged… priceless. There’s even a hundred-year-old puppet theater run by a crotchety old man. And, of course, the famous carousel. Most visitors strolling the Luxembourg Garden have seen kids pushing adorable little sailboats around the Grand Bassin duck pond. This is a tradition that’s almost 100 years old.  In 1927 Clément Paudeau, who had a passion for hand-made wooden boats (with the fabric sails hand-sewn by his wife), had the idea of renting them to children in the Luxembourg Garden for two sous. They became an instant hit.  Kids enjoy poney rides inside the Luxembourg Garden Do not forget to look for the modern copy of a replica of the Statue of Liberty in New York made for the 1900 World's Fair. for more info check out this link: https://www.roamthegnome.com/best-gardens-in-paris-jardin-du-luxembourg/

located on the right bank within walking distance from the Tuileries Gardens Inside the Palais Royal, sumptuous palace built for Richelieu in the 17th century, is a amazing contemporary work : Buren’s Columns (also called “the two trays”). An original artwork that, as often with modern works, produced a fierce reaction when it was created. Discover it to make your own opinion ! Ideal location for a great photo shoot with your children

The Musée des Arts Forains is a one of a kind museum. It is dedicated to fairground arts, theater, and other curiosities. This unique museum in Paris is a step back in time to the funfairs of the Belle Époque, with objects from the 19th and 20th centuries. Le Musée des Arts Forains is usually open for private events or guided tours (by reservation only). However, from time to time, the museum is open for individual visitors during special occasions

Not only is this central and a great place to exhale after visiting the Louvre, but it’s a great place for kids. There is a fountain in the middle where you can rent a model sailboat. Also, in the summer time they set up a carnival with a ferris wheel, that gives the best views of Paris outside of the Pompidou’s rooftop bar.

Experience a cooking class in Paris with your kids! French gastronomy is world renowned. A fun thing to do in Paris (specially with kids over 10) is to attend a cooking class. At « Atelier des Chefs » most chefs understand and speak basic English (check this out before booking a spot) For less than 20 euros per person you learn to cook a recipe (you select it in before booking) within 30 minutes with lots of useful cooking tips Then, you enjoy it with your kids and the rest of the group. This is a fun way to enjoy an affordable and delicious meal that your family will remember fondly when you all go back home. I did it with an american friend of mine and she LOVED it : « Our Chef spoke excellent English and handled a group of our size with no difficulty. We were supplied with the recipe at the conclusion of the cooking class ... » From the apartment take the bus#95 rue de Rennes and exit at Galeries Lafayette department store (15 minutes ride)

Yes yes yes! One of my favorite places with kids… and adults ! +++ If I had to chose only one address, it would be France Miniature. This visit gives you a unique opportunity to discover the different regions of France within a few hours. Are you ready for an unusual trip? Discover 117 French monuments reproduced at 1/30th and staged in a park of 5 hectares: castles, villages, ports and buildings are represented. A monumental discover! Like a giant, you can stride around the Eiffel Tower, Vaux le Vicomte, St Tropez, Mont St Michel, the amphitheatre at Arles, the basilica of Lourdes, and many more. And the journey doesn't end there! During your visit, take the time to see the Palais de la Miniature (the miniature palace) where miniature characters live. To round off your visit, there is a play area for children. Your child can have a go on a six track toboggan, visit the panoramic tower and many other activities, all whilst taking in the scenery. Each year, the France Miniature park closes its doors at the beginning of November for about 4 months. This period is an opportunity to maintain the models, refresh the paintings, and create new environments. https://www.franceminiature.fr/en

This one’s truly for the kids. Parents, this is your chance to sit on a bench with a good book while the kids run and play until naptime. This beautiful garden in Paris opened up about 150 years ago and has become a hub for youth, fun and play. The park functions today as a theme park, playground, nature exploration center and educational facility. Soar through the air with your little ones on the speed rockets or the swing carousel. Pose for that nice framed family picture for the living room in the Korean Garden.

For 30 years Parc Astérix has been enchanting visitors young and old. Located around 40 km from Paris, this theme park invites the whole family to dive into the world of the courageous Asterix, sworn enemy of the Romans! Disneyland Paris France, or Eurodisney as Disney Paris was once called, is located in a relatively new town 32km or 20 miles east of the centre of Paris. The Disneyland Resort encompasses two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Be transported to a world that inspires the imagination, where wonder and enchantment fill the air all year round. With Sleeping Beauty Castle at the heart of this fairy-tale setting, the attractions, shows, parades and restaurants will immerse you in the Disney magic you know and love. I have not visited Disneyland in a long time. Last time my children were kids but I have heard many people complain about the crowd. Useful tip: choose a rainy week day :-)
