Sitting in the shade of century-old plane trees while the kids run themselves ragged… priceless.
There’s even a hundred-year-old puppet theater run by a crotchety old man.
And, of course, the famous carousel.
Most visitors strolling the Luxembourg Garden have seen kids pushing adorable little sailboats around the Grand Bassin duck pond. This is a tradition that’s almost 100 years old.
In 1927 Clément Paudeau, who had a passion for hand-made wooden boats (with the fabric sails hand-sewn by his wife), had the idea of renting them to children in the Luxembourg Garden for two sous. They became an instant hit.
Kids enjoy poney rides inside the Luxembourg Garden
Do not forget to look for the modern copy of a replica of the Statue of Liberty in New York made for the 1900 World's Fair.

Then, you enjoy it with your kids and the rest of the group. This is a fun way to enjoy an affordable and delicious meal that your family will remember fondly when you all go back home.
