They have the best view over 'het IJ', good atmosphere! It's a creative environment, with good food, drinks, music and in Summer even an outdoor movie theater! You can take the free very to get there. It is a 15 minute walk to the very, or you can take buss 48 towards Borneo eiland.

At the Westergasfabriek happens a lot! There are multiple very good and low budget restaurants, it is a less than 5 minute walk from my place. There is a Jazz Music Club, a theater, a movie theater. Also lots of markets on Sunday and festivals during Summer!

They have the best food, good drinks and I very much like the interior. It's a must go when you are in Amsterdam!

Also there are a few art galleries, a movie theater and every now and then they host a 'Local Goods Market' where designers and artist sell there goods.

And if you don't want to buy anything, just eat Amsterdam's best apple pie at Winkel 43! It is at the corner (very busy during weekends).
From here it is a few minute walk to Anne Franks House.

On sunny days I often take the free ferry a few times in a row! It is a good way to see the skyline of Amsterdam for free! There are a few lines you can take. But remember that if you are at NDMS werf, you have to take the ferry back to Westerdoksdijks to get back to my apartment, the other direction goes to Central Station.
