The Ten Katenmarkt is a neighborhood market with international allure. In this large open-air market in the Kinkerbuurt you will find delicious street food stalls in addition to your daily groceries. The market is open every week from Monday until Saturday.
Personal Favourites
- Sir Hummus – best hummus in town (especially the spice Iranian/persian hummus)
- Het Warme noten gilde – delicious nuts (both single and mixes)
- Bakkerij Ad Straathof – you should go here to buy your daily bakery needs (be there on time or otherwise a longer que can be expected)
- Boer Geert – besides really delicious lunch sandwiches, also a good place to buy good value for money cheeses for dessert (or for pre-dinner drinks) and fresh pasta’s such as filled ravioli
- Tyros Libanese Foodkar – in my opinion one of the best middle eastern shoarma sandwiches. This stand is located across the main market street and opposite to the bar Panache.

Not just any nachos, but a choice of no fewer than four different dishes in different portions. From 'mexican pulled pork', to 'chorizo-spiced cauliflower', 'spicy chipotle chicken' and '9-hour beef chili'. Phew, we can't choose now... In addition, there are 11 different cocktails on the cocktail menu, three of which are alcohol-free. This tent is the perfect place to catch up with friends, but also an original spot for the ultimate date night if you ask us...

Trendy and hip hang-out at the Kwakersplein. The food is Middle Eastern focused and perfect for shared dining. Karavaan has one of the biggest terrace in Amsterdam West and is always crowded. Besides good food also a perfect place to have drinks. Also good for a casual dinner.

My personal hang out with friends (recommend you to go by bike, but on a sunny day a nice walk if fun and easy to do). At this bar you will rarely find tourist since it is a local hangout. One of the best things of Kosta is that they have a terrace which shines in the sun all day long. It is close to one of the main entrances of The Vondelpark, so after a nice walk a good place to enjoy lunch, drinks or just a coffee!

A good juicy greasy burger with all the trimmings. Yes. Crispy browned salty fries. check. A cold refreshing white beer. Yes please. All three and a good terrace and yes, you are at Café Dapper . In Amsterdam West on the Jacob van Lennepkade, the cafe with a terrace is located on the water. Great food, pleasant service, we can spend a lot of text on that, but we can't do that either. Oh, and by the way, if you don't like that cold refreshing white beer, the Gin & Tonic 's at Dapper are not to be missed.

If you like Pizza, you should consider to visit nNea. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant interior, but the pizza is considered as one of the best in town. I don’t recommend to order these pizza’s, go there and eat them inside to get the real experience!

In my opinion, one of the best Israelian restaurants in town. This restaurant is very small, so to be sure that you have a spot reservation is recommended. However, this is also a perfect location to order food with Uber Eats when you want to enjoy good food at home.

The banana bread and carrot cake are homemade and many of the products are organic. On weekends, the doors to the office next door open and Berry is twice as big.
