We also have an English bakery store on the 2nd floor that has been designed to have an amazing atmosphere, with a high ceiling and surrounded by a glass wall. There is also a large marble counter with a variety of bakery and gelato that you can taste. The highlight of the place is a huge white swing seat decorated with flower vines hanging from the ceiling and there is a golden unicorn to fill up this corner to be in a fairy tale mood. Our outdoor has two zones, one is the Beachfront zone for our guests to enjoy the cold breeze of the wind in our wicker chairs and comfortable and stylish couches. Suttangrak Pattaya is beach club located south from Jomtien Beach and is in business since 1971. This tremendous popular place is a great spot for amazing seafood and enjoying the sunset while sipping from your cocktail. In this article, I will tell you everything you should know about Sattungrak Pattaya including their most recommended dishes. The typical characteristics of Suttangrak are that the restaurant looks entertaining and lively, with several large tables placed on the terrace suitable for groups and a large bar in the middle where you can order your drinks with friends while enjoying the view. In the evening, live music performances are held and Suttangrak Pattaya is a great place to enjoy the evening, even after having eaten here. Suttangrak Pattaya also has an air-conditioned indoor area available, however, I strongly advise to grab a seat outside right around sunset. The menu of Suttangrak Pattaya The menu of Suttangrak Pattaya mainly consists of seafood and each page is dedicated to one specific type of seafood which includes shrimp, king lobster, rock lobster, squid, crab, shellfish and a variety of fish. Compared to other seafood restaurants, Suttangrak Pattaya does show the actual price almost at every dish, instead of only showing the market price in weight, which is common in seafood restaurants. This avoids confusion and is customer friendly. The majority of the dishes here costs between the 200 and 350 THB, however, once you start ordering crab or lobster, the price significantly increases. Besides all these Thai seafood options, there is also a Thai sushi menu available. Also, at Suttangrak, they create their own coffee with their own beans, which I would most definitely recommend you to try. The Chocolate Factory in Pattaya is the fourth branch opened in Thailand, after successfully operating in Khao Yai and Hua Hin. It’s known for high-quality food and excellent chocolates. In this review, I will explain what makes the Chocolate Factory in Pattaya so unique and what food you should not miss. The Chocolate Factory in Pattaya has two different branches, one located at Sukhumvit, the other one is located at Pratumnak. In the article, the Chocolate Factory in Pratumnak will be received as the Chocolate Factory in Sukhumvit not the complete menu and is more focussed on selling cakes and souvenirs. The Chocolate Factory at Pratumnak is a beautifully decorated venue located at Pratumnak on a hill next to the beach. The restaurant itself is modern and spacious with plenty of indoor seating options, however, the best places to sit are outside on the deck of the restaurant where you have an amazing view on the beach, the ocean and the island Koh Lan. As the restaurant is surrounded by large trees, the outdoor dining area is relatively cool as the sun is mostly blocked by its leaves. If you still want to sit inside, you can expect spacious seatings for couples as well as larger groups, air-conditioning and with the large windows, still a good view of the ocean. The menu of Chocolate Factory in Pattaya The menu of the Chocolate Factory in Pattaya is large with a variety of international dishes such as pizza, pasta, steaks, soups and salads, as well as a variety of Thai dishes, such as crab meat curry, stir-fried prawns and green curry. Expect to pay between three hundred and four hundred Thai baht per dish, with exceptions when you order more exclusive dishes such as imported beef or a large lobster. If you’ve heard of Pattaya, you’ve probably heard of Walking Street. This half-kilometre beachside street takes its name from the fact that it is closed to motorised traffic from 6 pm every night, at which point it immediately becomes thronged with party-going pedestrians. Almost every building on both sides of the road is a nightclub or bar of some description, with many of the surrounding small sois being much the same. Great nights out can be found right from the giant screen over the Walking Street sign at one end of the street to Mixx Discotheque at the other. Among the best in between are 808, Club Insomnia, Candy Shop, Marine Disco, and Lucifer 2.0.

It is a mixed venue housing shops, restaurants, a fitness center, grocery store, and a Movie Theater and Bowling alley. After opening it was one of the most popular malls in Pattaya. However the opening of Central Festival mall soon after took a bit of the winds from it sails. Since then the mall has had trouble keep it’s many stores occupied despite its prime location. The restaurants, entertainment, and market have been the main stays of the Avenue Pattaya. Recent years has seen the open air courtyard turned into a night market, selling clothes and trinkets for cheap prices. Underwater World Pattaya provides an opportunity to enjoy the beauty, colors and variety of the underwater world without having to dive in the ocean. It is a fun experience for both adults and children to see the many species of colorful fish and corals housed in the fish tanks and to walk through the over 100 meter long glass tunnel through the aquarium, a chance to get very close to marine animals as sharks, stingrays and many species of colorful tropical fish. Ray Pool Near the entrance is the Ray Pool that contains fish as starfish, bamboo shark, blue spotted ray and archer fish. A second pool houses species as sea star, sea cucumber and bamboo shark. Feeding the Koi fish At the Koi pond children will enjoy feeding the white and orange Koi fish. Next meet the green sea turtle, a very large species of turtle that can travel thousands of miles in the sea and grow up to 80 years old. The Cylinder Tank houses fish as the brightly orange colored blood parrot cichlid. Colorful tropical fish and corals Several tanks and aquariums house various species of corals and tropical fish like the angelfish, a very colorful species of fish with a round and flat body which allows them to hide in narrow spaces. A lionfish with spiky fin rays Lionfish with spiky fin rays The butterfly fish, with its beautiful bright yellow and orange colors lives in the coral reefs of tropical oceans as does the lionfish, a beautiful tropical fish with red and white bands and large, spiky fin rays. Other tanks house fish as moray eel, scorpion fish, sea horses, tang fish with their very bright colors as yellow and blue and the colorful clownfish as well as beautiful corals. Don’t miss the giant crab and the lively Asian small clawed otters, the smallest otter species in the world. Walking through the sea in the glass tunnel Highlight of Underwater World Pattaya is its glass tunnel. Walking through the 105 meter long acrylic glass tunnel visitors experience the illusion of walking on the ocean floor surrounded by thousands of fish of many different species including sharks, stingrays and giant groupers. As the fish swim right next to you and overhead you get to see the fish from all angles. Coral Reef zone, Open Ocean zone and Giant of Siam zone The tunnel is divided in the Coral Reef zone, Open Ocean zone and Giant of Siam zone. In the Coral Reef zone you will see several species of colorful corals and many tropical fish like shoals of giant trevally. Meet sea species as black tip reef sharks, eagle rays, black-botched rays, fat nurse sharks and shovel-nose rays in the Open Ocean zone. The Giant of Siam zone houses an artificial ship wreck which serves as shelter for marine animals. This zone houses species as the arapaima, a very large freshwater fish that can grow to a length of 15 feet. Aquarium staff make visitors’ photos in the glass tunnel which you can buy at the shop near the exit. So keen was he in fact, he decided to build a world of his own, hence Mini Siam & Mini Europe was opened in Pattaya as an educational tourist attraction. Where is Mini Siam? Mini Siam is located at 387 Moo 6 Sukhumvit Road. From the Central (Klang) Pattaya Road junction it’s 2.7 kilometers to the north. Watch out for Pattaya Bangkok hospital on the northbound side of the highway, Mini Siam is almost directly across the road from it, just very slightly north. Getting to Mini Siam You can take a blue baht bus along south, central or north Pattaya roads to Sukhumvit highway, then wave down a white baht bus and get off at Mini Siam, both baht bus rides will cost 10 baht per person. NOTE: There’s a footbridge over the highway before Pattaya Bangkok Hospital, if you get off there and cross the highway it’s about a 400 meter walk to Mini Siam. NOTE: You can actually take any color of baht bus along Sukhumvit highway, blue, pale blue, red, green, but white buses are less likely to deviate or detour off the highway. Enjoy the company of an elephant in Pattaya at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. We promote the sustainable and ethical way of treating elephants and our little elephant village in Pattaya is an example of that. Our trained English-speaking guides give visitors insight into the behavior and the personal history of our elephants, while our mahouts help people realize incredible life experiences such as bathing elephants or feeding them by hand. The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is in the nearby Pattaya city. You can visit the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary at two different times during the day. The morning visit takes place from 6:30 am to 11:30 am and the afternoon visit takes place from 12:30 to 17:30 pm. The package deal includes two traditional Thai buffet meals, pick up and drop off to your accommodation in Pattaya (terms and conditions apply), drinking water and even food for feeding the elephants! When you arrive at the Sanctuary, the guides will give you a basic overview of the tour, our elephant welfare programs, some information about the elephants.. Since the tour can get messy and wet (in a very fun way!) we suggest that you bring some things with you. Bring a hat, sunscreen, a bathing suit, a towel and a change of clothes to our Pattaya elephant sanctuary. You can also bring a camera with you but if you’re worried about taking photos with the elephants you need not worry. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary offers a photography service at no extra charge. The photographer will take photos of you throughout the day and upload the photos to Dropbox, which you can then access through the link on the EJS Facebook page. Khao Chi Chan (“Buddha Mountain”)

Khao Chi Chan or Buddha Mountain in Jomtien is the largest engraving of Buddha in the world. The gold-embossed image was carved out of the side of a limestone mountain with a laser. It's 130 metres in height and 70 metres across at its widest. The solitary limestone hill was once used to supply the local construction industry with materials. In 1996, to commemorate His Majesty the King of Thailand’s golden jubilee, the massive image was carved into the rock and then marked out in gold on the recommendation of the then Supreme Patriarch. The area in which it resides – commonly known as “Silverlake” – is one of remarkable natural beauty, with a couple of other nearby attractions. The grounds in front of Buddha Mountain include a temple, with saffron-robed monks a common sight, so appropriate clothing is recommended. Khao Pattaya Viewpoint is also the perfect spot of most photographers to enjoy magnificent views of Pattaya Bay. Be warned that this is anything but an insider’s tip so expect to share your view with a ceaseless conveyor belt of package tours and the local traders who can follow them touting expensive refreshments and cheap souvenirs. This might seem off-putting but the reality is that tours will usually stop for 10 or 15 minutes and when they have been called back to their bus, the Viewpoint will become quiet and peaceful that is perfect for enjoying the stunning scenery. Khao Pattaya Viewpoint Khao Pattaya Viewpoint Although Khao Pattaya Viewpoint has its own popularity, the esplanade is wide and long enough to accommodate a large number of visitors. Therefore, there is no waiting around to find a good position against the railings for having an expecting picture-postcard backdrop. The main view has uninterrupted views of Pattaya Bay right up to the headland which separates Pattaya beach from Naklua beach but there are also some views south looking straight out to sea and out over the Jomtien Beach. Other special things of note on the hilltop relate Wat Khao Phra Bat, an extremely interesting temple which is claimed to be the house for a relic of Buddha and a monument to Kromluang Chomphonkhetudomsak - the founding Father of the Thai Navy revered by many Thai people leaving wreaths and burning incense in his honor. This hillside viewpoint always offers panoramic views of Pattaya and Jomtien at any time of the day. However, it is best visited in the late afternoon or the early evening once the lights are lit and the sceneries become more sparkling than ever. And most importantly, the scene costs you no charge at al. View from Khao Pattaya Viewpoint Khao Pattaya Viewpoint The viewpoint is situated between South Pattaya and Jomtien, so to reach there, most of the visitors choose to drive south from Central Pattaya then past Bali Hai Pier but don’t take the bridge near Easy Karts race track. Instead, they exit under the bridge and turn right up the hill right after that. The viewpoint is located on Rajchawaroon - the first right turn at the top of Pratumnak Hill. It is all clearly sign-posted in Thai as well as English. However, the easiest way to get the viewpoint from either Pattaya or Jomtien is by songthaew (also called baht bus). You can negotiate with them to take you there and back. There is no fixed price for your bus trip but you could pay at least 200 Baht for the return journey from central Pattaya. Regular-shared songthaews often run from South Pattaya to Jomtien. These depart from the corner of Second Road and Pattaya Tai but they only depart when the songthaew has enough passengers. The viewpoint area and monument is open from 07:30 to 21:00.

The main beach in the area is also it’s namesake and runs from walking street in the south, to north Pattaya road in the north. The 4 km long beach spans the entire length of Pattaya bay. Whilst this is not the best beach in Pattaya it is the most popular. And due to it’s popularity can become very crowded during the day, and especially at the weekend. As well as overcrowding on the sand the water also gets crowded with boats and jet skis. There are designated safe swimming zones marked by buoys, and we strongly recommend staying within these zones when in the water. There are many water sports on offer here from parasailing, jet ski hire and speed boat rides to the nearby islands. We do not advise you hire one of the jet ski’s from the local vendor’s, this is a well known scam in Pattaya, were unsuspecting tourists are vastly overcharged for damage which they did not cause. If your after a more relaxing time, then you can rent a deck chair and umbrella from 200 baht ($6) for the day. Whilst relaxing you will be approached by local vendors offering you all sorts of fake goods you probably don’t want. Running parallel to the sand, is beach road here you will find all the refreshments you may need for your day relaxing. Beach road is also home to some the best shopping in Pattaya, and is home to 3 large malls and several markets. We would recommend visiting this beach if your after a bit of excitement as well as chilling. The beach is open daily from early hours until dusk, but be warned the promenade becomes a red light zone at night. Parasailing in Pattaya is what everyone needs to try! Maybe everyone would like to feel like a bird and fly above the ground for a few minutes. Fortunately, modern people has plenty of opportunities to get off the ground: parachutes, airplanes, paragliders and many others. The most attractive and affordable way is parasailing over the water surface. This entertainment is very popular in seaside resorts, as it is one of the safest types of flight. So parasailing in Pattaya is also quite developed. in our article we will tell you about how parasailing in Pattaya differs from other resorts and where you can go parasailing. Features of parasailing in Pattaya Parasailing is often compared with parachuting as these entertainments have a lot of common things. Jomtien beach is located as it name suggests along the Jomtien Bay, approx 2 km south of Pattaya city. The beach here is much quieter than Pattaya. Being quieter makes this much more child friendly and as such is very popular with families. Although there are water sports and boats available for hire here, they are in small pockets at either end of the beach. This makes finding a quiet spot in which to relax much easier. The road which runs alongside has a plethora of shops, restaurants, bars and hotels. The sand here in Jomtien is soft and clean and is much more like you would expect to find here in Thailand. Whether you are staying in the Jomtien area or not? We would highly recommend visiting here during your stay. A private taxi from Pattaya central hotels will cost around 250 baht. A cheaper alternate is using the Baht bus service which costs only 10 baht per person and runs all the way along Jomtien Beach.

Koh Larn - Coral Island Just off Pattaya in the Gulf of Thailand is Koh Larn, also known as Coral Island. Measuring four kilometers long and two kilometers wide, the island boasts beautiful beaches with clear waters and a hilly, forested interior. Seven kilometers from Pattaya At just seven kilometers off the coast of Pattaya, Koh Larn is a popular day trip. Beach chairs are for rent at all of its main beaches, restaurants serve seafood as well as Thai and international dishes. Besides swimming, sun bathing and relaxing on the beach, visitors can ride a jet ski or banana boat, go snorkeling or kayaking or take a hiking trip in the islands forested interior. There are hotels and bungalows at several beaches for those who want to stay longer. The island’s main village is Na Baan, where most of its residents live. Rates are 1,500 to 3,500 Baht depending on the size of the boat. Ferry A little slower but much cheaper is the ferry. There is one to Na Baan pier and one to Tawaen beach pier on the other side of the island. Both take about 45 minutes and depart from Bali Hai pier at the South end of Pattaya Walking Street. The fare is 30 Baht one way. Getting around Getting around the island is easy and cheap. Either take a motorbike taxi or flag down a songthaew, also called Baht bus. Rates depend on distance, to most destinations the fare would be 30 to 50 Baht. Several shops on the island offer motorbikes and bicycle rentals.
