If you're heading into the city on the J line, this is a nice pitstop to grab some coffee and a bagel. Since it's right on Broadway, there's a lot of noise and activity outside, but you can still get work done if you bring a laptop and find a space indoors.

The doughnuts here are incredible. We like the glazed braid and coffee ones the best, but they're all great. It's takeout only and opens at 10am. Caroline's is just around the corner from home, and it's on the way to the Ralph subway stop (C line).

Turtles is a fun dive bar. Gets pretty noisy on the weekends! Inside, there's a huge tank with turtles swimming around. There's also a back yard.
