Lovely park with very old trees around and a nice luxurious cafe in the middle. In the morning it's full of groups who do bootcamp and yoga and in the evening when the weather is nice it's full of people who'll go for a picnic and spent the evening there. Close to Utrecht University

Closest forest to Utrecht, it's great to go there if you rent a bike. It's a beautiful old forest, wit a lovely river in the middle. There are bunkers from the second world war and a beautiful fortification from 1868. You can go for a hike here and drink some coffee in the Veldkeuken (just recently beautifully renovated) and get a real dutch pancake in Theehuis Rhijnauwen. They serve gluten, egg and milk free pancakes as well, which are just delicious!
