Our favorite Farmer's Market to stroll through on Saturday mornings 8AM-2PM. They occasionally will have other street festivals that come up so make sure to search to see if there is an event. San Diego Zoo is fun and there are so many other museums, gardens and parks to explore. The Japanese Gardens are a beautiful place to take a picnic.
Tip: The park is very segregated into sections by highways. It is easiest to find an area you want to go and park there and explore a bit. In general, the west side of the park is more walkable.
