Dana Point is the Dolphin and Whale watching capital of the world!! Head down to the marina to watch the boats come in and out. They have daily boat tours to go and see dolphins and whales. It is an incredible experience. You can also rent kayaks, paddle boards, or give it a shot at surfing! Doheny Beach is a perfect spot to spend the day watching all the surfers and soaking up rays. Also check out the Dana Point Headlands Conservation Area. Beautiful winding trails overlooking the expansive ocean. The views are breathtaking. A great spot we like to take our kids is baby beach! You'll find it nestled in the harbor, the pacific ocean without the waves making this the perfect spot for your littles to swim. Next door is the Ocean Institute, where you can see up-close encounters of all kinds of local ocean life. They also offer fun activities for littles so be sure to check out their schedule. We love the tidepool hikes! Take adantage of Dana Points local FREE trolley!
