Located at approximately 8 km from the town’s center, you can’t miss the opportunity to visit Surfers Point and witness an unforgettable sunset. It’s this location that arguably put Margaret River on the tourist map.
Surfers Point is very well-known for its surf competitions, with the biggest event of the year being the WSL Margaret River Pro which generally takes place in the month of May.
It’s a chance to come and see the world’s best surfers compete against each other on some of the world’s best waves!
Although, this place isn’t just for surfers… it also offers a great atmosphere to enjoy a full day of sun, swimming in the ocean, and soaking in the good vibes – there is always something going on!
The area is very well equipped with car parking spaces, toilets, benches, picnic tables, and barbecues which is perfect to appreciate some memorable moments with family and friends.
It’s a dog-friendly beach, so your four-legged sidekicks can join you for a walk along the golden sands as well.
Still, one of the best things you can actually do at Surfers Point apart from surfing is without a doubt watching a stunning sunset across the Indian Ocean.

All of the beaches in this area are absolutely stunning! Must stop here while your in the area! I can get busy but it is worth it. Drive a bit further down the road and find a bit more secluded of a spot. You can rent SUP boards and Kayaks here too :)

Looking for a more secluded beach? Head to condos beach. It's a little walk down to it but it is well worth it!

My favourite cave tour here! Drive down caves road south till you arrive at lake cave. A tour guide will take your through the cave and explain how the caves are formed and all the other info you always wondered about :)

If that’s not a recipe for success we don’t know what is. For those who don’t have time for the full dégustation experience, a tasting and a dip into the à la carte are heartily recommended.

Friends of ours own this place and it has quickly become a very popular winery with fun sit down wine tastings. These guys are seriously passionate about wine and the cellar door is in a beautiful little setting right in the middle of the vineyard.

Walk the ornamental and edible gardens, book a tour of the winery and estate, and, of course, taste the wines. The grand dining room is home to chef Santiago Fernandez, where you’ll find the seven-course Discovery dégustation menu and the four-course à la carte Terrior menu.

Walking Trails
Margaret River has some breathtaking walks even right out the front door of the studio! There have been so many times that I have kicked my butt out the door, put my running shoes on and headed out to the wilderness and thought to myself "man I am so lucky" Get out there and explore!
A couple of favourites are:
- The walk from the studio to town via the Darch trail
- The Prevelly beach walk from the White elephant cafe to the Margaret River mouth
