Sightseeing
Lots of trails to choose from with sections of woodsy trails and sections along the river. If you enjoy long walks in nature, this is the place for you. There is also a playground for kids at the back parking lot. If you are looking to walk or bike for a few miles you can even walk all the way to the Riverfront Park with large sections of the walk being right along the Willamette River.

Minto-Brown Island Park

With a playground, a carousel, and the Gilbert House Children's Museum, all accessible from the same parking lot, this is a great place to bring kids to play and take in the scenery of the beautiful Willamette River.
This park is also the access point for the historic Willamette Queen riverboat. Call to make a reservation for this riverboat ride with an elegant dining experience.
The Riverfront Park is also home to the brand new Gerry Frank Amphitheater which along with the Peter Courtney Bridge are lit up and look amazing at night.

The 40 minute drive to this state park is well worth the drive. The drive itself is scenic but the real treat is arriving at the park and being greeted by South Falls, a 177 foot waterfall that you can walk behind. It takes very little walking get down to the waterfall but you can even enjoy it from the overlook above which is right next to the parking lot. From here it is possible to choose from numerous trails, all featuring an abundance of waterfalls.

Basil and Board features wonderful italian food, specializing in pizza. They offer options for gluten free and vegan diets. They have a rooftop seating area that you may need a reservation for, especially on nights that they are having live music.

Venti's on Commercial does have a lot of beer on tap as well as other drinks but if you are going out to drink, you might consider Venti's Cafe and Beer Vault downtown.
